Houses, condos, and apartments
Single-family homes in West Haven, Orange, and Milford usually mean driveway access, a garage, and a fair amount of outdoor gear such as grills, patio furniture, and bikes. We plan the truck load around the bulky pieces first so the smaller boxes fill in around them.
Condos and apartments closer to the New Haven line bring different questions: is there an elevator, is there a loading zone, and how many flights of stairs before the truck. We ask all of that during the estimate so the number you get reflects the real work rather than a guess based on bedroom count.
How we protect the home you are leaving and the one you are entering
Before anything is carried, we pad door frames, wrap banisters, and put runners down on hardwood and carpet alike. Furniture travels in moving blankets and stretch film, and drawers get secured so nothing slides open on the stairs.
The same care goes into the new place. You should be able to tell we were there because your things are exactly where you asked for them, not because there is a scuff on the wall by the front door.
Shoreline weather, both directions
Summer humidity off Long Island Sound is real, and a closed truck sitting in a driveway on a July afternoon gets hot fast. We keep the doors shut between loads and carry water for the crew on every job.
Winter brings the opposite problem. Wet leaves and early ice on a West Haven driveway are a slip risk for anyone carrying a couch, so we bring floor protection and take the approach at a pace that keeps everyone upright.
