Family homes
Most of our Orange work is residential, moving families in and out of single-family homes with garages, basements, and the usual mix of outdoor equipment. We plan the truck load around the bulky pieces first so smaller boxes fill in efficiently around them.
Homes here often have finished basements that hold more than expected, so a quick walk-through of every level before the estimate saves a surprise on move day.
Small office and retail moves
Orange has a number of small professional offices and retail spaces along its commercial corridors. These moves are usually smaller in scale than a full downtown office relocation, but they still call for the same careful labeling and after-hours scheduling so the business does not lose a full day.
Getting around Orange on move day
The town's roads connect easily to both West Haven and Milford, which makes it a convenient midpoint for families relocating a short distance within the shoreline area rather than leaving it entirely.
What to expect
A typical Orange move starts with a walk-through, either in person or over video, followed by a written estimate. Crew size and truck size are matched to what you actually have rather than a guess based on the number of bedrooms in the house.
Timing an Orange move
Orange sees less of the intense summer rush that hits the immediate beachfront towns, which often means a bit more flexibility on dates through July and August. A move planned in the spring or fall usually has the widest choice of crew availability.
Whatever the season, we plan the departure time around getting the heaviest furniture loaded before the middle of the day, when both the sun and the local roads tend to be at their busiest.
